Do you work as a writer, author, editor, photographer, broadcaster, podcaster, videographer, filmmaker, blogger, website publisher or other media, involved in (if not only) covering jazz? If so, you qualify for membership in the JJA, an international network of professionals offering mutual support, interactivity, career development opportunities and general counsel based on the experience of veteran jazz journalists, as innovative and creative as jazz musicians themselves.

As the JJA’s board of directors* states: “We want to grow our organization and add your insight to our efforts. And we know that we have much to offer you – the next-generation (as well as established) writers, photographers, broadcasters, videographers, and webcasters – who keep the music alive and thriving. We welcome your ideas and input on how the JJA can better serve our mission to promote jazz and jazz journalism.

“We especially welcome all journalists who traditionally have been underrepresented in the field due to issues of gender, race, geography, and sexual orientation.”

The Jazz Journalists Association is a 501 (c)3 membership organization, active since 1987, incorporated in New York in 2004, with members world-wide. Further information President@JazzJournalists.org.
