Colleagues take note! We have two upcoming Jazz Matters panel discussions confirmed — Wednesday, September 8th September 15th and Wednesday, October 6th. Both to take place from 6-8 p.m. at the New School Jazz and Contemporary Music performance space, 5th Floor, 55 West 13th Street in Manhattan. More dates hopefully to follow.
We’ll likely be making arrangements for recording, video and possible webcast, so if you’re not in New York, there are still ways for you to participate. Also note that we are now kicking around topic ideas, so if you have suggestions (including candidates as panelists), please sound off in the comments.
I am working on a book that highlights the intersection between jazz and American democracy. it would be really nice to have a panel to discuss this issue.
