They go low — or high — and JJA members just keep goin’. It’s the only way.
Look at the vast variety of activities we’re individually (that is to say, collaboratively) engaged in: Audio productions, books, marketing events, obits, podcasts, in-person interviews, liner note annotations. Not to mention the JJA’s own ongoing Seeing Jazz Photographers Salons (next up: Sántá István Csaba, March 22) and The Buzz: The JJA Podcast (March episode has researchers Ricky Riccardi and Fumi Tomita talking with Book Committee chair Bob Blumenthal about digital tools for deep dives into jazz mysteries).
Also: We’re about to announce (on or about April 1) the 2025 Jazz Heroes! And have opened up for submissions to the Photo of the Year Award, and nominations for the 30th annual JJA Jazz Awards.
