A virtual reality book party for YOU, 3/26

Do you have a book idea to pitch, are you curious about submission processes, do you want to hear how others have done it successfully, or just tell them you like what they’ve published? Here’s your chance: Come to the JJA’s Book Bash at our unique virtual reality Bash House on Sunday, March 26 from 1 to 3 pm ET, and hobnob like you’re at a salon with editors, authors, a publisher and nominees for the 2023 JJA Book Awards. See the complete Program Book for in-depth details.

Nominees Michael Kahr, Richard Kolada, Monika Herzig, Willard Jenkins, Aidan Levy, James Reddan, Philip Watson and Kenny Werner will be moderated in brief talks by JJA Book Awards committee chair Bob Blumenthal and members Fiona Ross and Brad Stone. SUNY Press acquisitions editor Richard Carlin and Gary S. Stager, Ph.d. of Cymbal Press, will present their publications in audience q&as.

And the JJA’s customized SyncSpace.live platform enable discussions and one-to-one chats with anyone in attendance. Attendees can invite each other to private conversations.

If you see someone there (by avatar) and you want to talk to them — don’t be shy! Hover over their image, three dots appear, and you can ask them to join you for unheard talk.

The Book Bash is free to JJA members and authors of books on jazz, $10 to the public — but you register for this unprecedented live, real-time interactive event! Do that here.
